Solo developer of the Corridor

I’ve loved video games since I was a child. I got my first computer in 1997 when I was 7 years old. At that time, computers were very rare in my country. My journey in game development started with making 2D mobile games. One of them, BrainBalls, was an educational math game for kids that I released on the App Store. While players liked the game, the paid version didn’t make enough money to live on. Around this time, I also realized I was good at teaching, as I helped some of my relatives learn programming, and they succeeded with my guidance.
For years, I worked as a teacher and made games on the side. I created many working prototypes, but none of them became full games. It taught me how to create and test game ideas quickly and improved my skills in understanding what players want.
In January 2021, I bought an Oculus Quest 2. When I tried the First Steps app, it completely changed my thinking. I realized that VR is the future. From that point, I focused only on VR development. I took my time to learn VR’s unique challenges and built tools to solve specific problems. Some worth mentioning: physics driver, which is responsible for driving any rigid body to a target pose, hand interaction system that allows easily making any physical object grabbable by defining a pose profile or in auto-posing mode.
In January 2024, I decided to work full-time on my first VR game, Corridor. I used my savings and worked 12–15 hours a day to make it happen. At first, I had many ideas for the game, but I simplified it to finish by the end of the year. I spent a lot of time testing with different players to make sure the game was fun, balanced, and polished.
Corridor, my first VR game, launched on November 27, 2024, on the Meta Horizon Store. This was a significant milestone after years of learning, experimenting, and dedicating myself to game development.
I’m deeply passionate about VR and strive to create immersive, enjoyable experiences that resonate with players. Virtual reality offers unique opportunities to engage people in new and exciting ways, and I’m committed to exploring its full potential through thoughtful design and innovation. Corridor marks the beginning of my journey to bring these ideas to life, and I look forward to creating even more impactful VR experiences in the future.
